I have no idea what the plot is even about, because the anime synopsis is just super vague. So i'll watch the episode for the sole reason of finding out what its about. Can't guarantee i'll get hooked on it.

So is this considered a sports anime? An idol anime? Or both? Hiyori is a good singer and she’s pretty athletic so both could work. I suppose a sports idol anime is a pretty novel concept. The specialized equipment kind of reminded me of Tribe Nine a little bit.

Decent first episode with nice music and an interesting concept. I think I’ll watch a few more episodes before I decide whether to keep this as weekly or as an end of season binge.

Shouldn't Hiyori be disqualified because of the extra two players joining her team in the middle of a match? I know this is leaning more towards idol anime than sports but I'm pretty sure that if you enter without those extra two and have them join without even calling for a time out then you'd get disqualified in any sort of sports tournament.
